wow you guy’s stories are deep. even though i’m from Detroit , i still feel what you guy;s R going through. my life…aww where do i start, mt dad is mental, i have a grandma that’s loves us 2 MUCH ( aways OVER PROTECTIVE AND AT THE SAME TIME LOST A LITTLE BIT OF HER MIND), a grandma that don’t love us enough. a hard working mom that wants nothing but the best for her 3 kids. my dad us to favor me and not my 2 sisters. that drew our sisterhood out the window. but now we r working up to a level. since none of my parents finished their dream. i plan to go to the Air Force and do something with my life. i also want to become an author. writing about young teeange life aroung the 50 states. i want people to know teenagers. excuse me i mean Blacks hispanics, every race (except whites)has it bad. but we can choose the outcome. thank you. bye
Hey, Thanks for sharing your story. We know sometimes things are really hard for black and brown youth in this country — it doesn’t matter if you’re from South LA or Detroit or wherever — the same issues are found and we all try to succeed and overcome the difficulties. we wish you the best and good luck in your journey. There are great resources out there, and even though we don’t know a lot about Detroit, I’m sure there are youth organizations that work to help youth out, to be there to listen and to just hang out with good people. Let us know if you need help finding a place like that in your hometown. Thanks for reading our stories and our blog. -SCYEA
